Creative Brooch Styling

We have so many great brooches in the shop right now (and always). It seems as though brooches are having a resurgence and we're all looking for new ways to wear them. I'm all about putting your own personal touch on a trend; with that in mind, here are a few fresh ways I'm wearing brooches these days. Perhaps they'll give you a little inspiration.

VINTAGE TIE & VINTAGE BROOCHES

Really there is no right or wrong way to achieve this look! Just grab your favorite tie and grab a handful of brooches. Let your intuition guide you. I start at the knot of the tie and work my way down from there. You can stop at the knot too; just one brooch and you're done! Or keep going for a more maximalist look. I decided to add a couple of brooches to my shirt collar to take the look to the next level. You could even keep going down the full length of your tie (best for a solid or small-pattern tie) but this particular tie is quite busy with a full hunting scene on it so I tried to keep most of the brooches near the top, so as not to interfere too much with the artwork. VINTAGE BROOCHES & JACKET

This look can be achieved with ANY type of blazer or jacket with lapels. Again, there are no rules--just let your eyes and intuition guide you. You can choose to stick to a color scheme (or don't), stick with the same color metals (or don't), similar shaped brooches (like all circles or an animal theme)--or don't! This is about breaking rules and doing whatever you want--and maybe even inspiring someone else to do the same after the see you.
