I bought a set of vintage linocut blocks from a flea market back in 2015 and mounted them on my wall as art pieces. I loved the simple outlines that made up the stylized images of the women depicted in the blocks. Then one day, my printmaker friend Kent came over and upon seeing my vintage linocuts-turned-wall-art, suggested we try making prints out of them and voila! We have prints.
Each print is 7” wide x 5” tall with slight imperfections due to the age of the block used to create the print. These perfect imperfections speak to the collaborative quality of these prints: a collaboration between the past when the blocks were cut and the present during which the prints were produced.
