Product Description
This rare vintage print titled “Maison du Chats” aka House of Cats by Bill Logan has got everything: cats, a purple Victorian house, cats in pearls, immaculately tended grounds, cats in bows, a full moon…did we mention cats? Professionally framed in a silver metal frame. Printed by Morgan Press in Dobbs Ferry, NY, 1983.
A fun fact about Morgan Press: In 1981, the Smithsonian Institution paid $244,000 ($772,000 in 2022 dollars) for the Morgan Press' collection of antique typefaces, some of which are large wooden letters that turn-of-the-century printers used to produce circus posters and some of which are metal, machined by Austrian immigrant craftsmen after the Civil War. You can read about it in this NY Times piece.
